I took part in a really great event last week at Atlas New York for the Safe Horizon Charity in New York City. It was a design competition between myself and Oskar Torres. The winner was given $10K for donation to Safe Horizon. Pier One Imports and New York Moves magazine sponsored it and it will be featured in NY Moves “Power Women” Issue. We were given a room full of furniture, we each chose a style (mine was Colonial) and we had 30 minutes to design the space.
Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible III, Gone Baby Gone, Mr & Mrs Smith) announced the winner at the Red Carpet Event last night. She’s on the cover of the Design 2009 issue.
